Who We Are
Warrior Gratitude is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing gratitude retreats in Lake Tahoe, offering spiritual tools and mindfulness-based stress reduction therapies to enhance the well-being of current IDF reserve soldiers. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where warriors can find healing, peace of mind, and a renewed sense of purpose. Through our retreats, we aim to foster resilience and empower soldiers to lead fulfilling lives beyond their service to their nation.
Our Team

Founder & CEO
Charles Tencher
Charles was born and spent his childhood in Israel and has a deep connection to the country he identifies as home. With family members who have served in the IDF, he has always felt a personal calling to support those who defend the nation. Driven by a sense of duty and gratitude, his mission is to serve as many soldiers as possible, providing them with the healing and support they deserve.
Guided by core values of honesty and a "can-do" attitude, he leads Warrior Gratitude with a commitment to giving his all. His vision for the organization is not only to heal and empower IDF soldiers but to leave a lasting legacy that will continue to serve future generations. Warrior Gratitude is, for him, a deeply personal and long-term project dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have given so much to their country.

Creative Director
Sarah Tencher
Sarah is a designer and certified yoga teacher who brings a thoughtful blend of creativity and mindfulness to her work with Warrior Gratitude. As a founding contributor, she plays a key role in the organization’s outreach and operations—designing the website, leading yoga sessions, and creating visual materials to support its mission.
Sarah’s commitment to service is rooted in years of volunteer experience with organizations such as Kesem and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Her passion for healing and community-building aligns deeply with Warrior Gratitude’s mission to support IDF soldiers through restorative retreats and spiritual tools. She is honored to help create spaces that nurture growth, resilience, and inner peace.

Retreat Leader
Noam Zanger
Noam was born and raised in a small community village in northern Israel, where she grew up with a deep love for her country. When the time came to serve, she chose to enlist as a combat soldier in the Caracal unit. After completing eight months of intensive training, she returned to the same base as a commander, guiding and mentoring the next generation of soldiers. She later continued to serve alongside them in daily missions to protect Israel. By the end of her service, Noam had commanded 114 soldiers—an experience that shaped the strong leadership and resilience she carries with her today.
Now dividing her time between Lake Tahoe and Israel, Noam is also an entrepreneur, running two businesses in the United States. With family living near the Lebanese border and close friends who left everything to rejoin the reserves, she felt called to take action. Joining Warrior Gratitude became her way of standing beside those who sacrifice so much to protect her homeland—offering them healing, support, and gratitude in return.
